Different Ways To Advertise

There are loads of different ways to advertise

TV: On TV they can advertise almost every product there is but the companies are clever because what matter most t is the time of day you play it. For example supermarket adverts that might be on in the morning will be attention-grabbing for a housewife because if they see deals or offers on products they need from such adverts, they may be more likely to shop at that supermarket.
TV is a very expensive way to advertise can reach more audiences then if it was in the newspaper/magazine. Advertisements with humour or catchy slogans are more likely to be remembered.

TV Advert

Magazine: another way to advertise is in magazine. Depending on what type of magazine you buy it will vary on the adverts. You never open a Men’s sports magazine and find an advert for women’s cosmetics, this is because companies target a certain audiences and it only seems right to have it in that type of magazine. For example, the women’s cosmetics would go in a beauty/gossip magazine.
Advertising in magazines is cheaper than television but some people might skip the ads. Also a magazine is usually kept for about a week before it is thrown away.

Magazine Advert

Internet: the Internet is an amazing place but there are loads of adverts on there. On Facebook they advertise products that you like. They persuade you to buy things that you don’t really need.  On the Internet the advert pops up suddenly, it moves about the screen and is very eye catching.

Internet Advert

Newspapers:  Newspapers have been advertising for decades and not only do they put advertisements in the paper but at the weekends they have colour supplements which have pages and pages of advertisements.

Newspaper Advert

Billboards; Massive boards on the sides of buildings are the perfect place to put huge advertisements. Large public areas such as airports are the perfect place for these gigantic images.

Billboard Advert

Radio: the radio is one of the best places to advertise because they have those annoying jingles that always get stuck in your head which makes you remember them.

Even the side of a bus or taxi can become a moving advertisement which can catch your eye wherever you are.

My View
I think that even though adverts can be annoying and that they are everywhere they can be helpful sometimes

The Good Side Of Technology

The good side of technology

I know this sound like a fun title but there are some bad things about technology. But this post will highlight the good things.

Online Shopping
online shopping can be a very good thing for Agoraphobia(fear of leaving home) and the elderly (who might find it hard leaving there bed let alone there home to do the weekly shop) If you do not know what Online shopping is it's basically were you can do your shopping online so you can buy your food for the week or present of websites like amazon or eBay and it will get delivered straight to your home.below is a screen shoot of the Tesco online shopping site. I really think online shopping is a good but sometimes the shipping/delivery price can be a bit to much.

Mobile Phones
Mobile Phones in general are a really good thing for reason like good for Kids if they are out with there mates and they need to call the parents to pick them up or to tell were they going and the same for the parents. And it's on you if you need to call 999. But there is the whole other side to it were people how might have a problem with there eye site they are the phones that have the numbers a lot bigger(like the one below). With this particular phone you can have three different number set on the phone, one on M1 another on M2 and a third on M3 by press the certain one it fill call the number and the stand it's on is the charger.  I think that this phone is really useful and it a good idea to have them.

 My View
I think that technolgy is a very good thing and that the pionts I given above showes you that but even though this is the good side of technolgy there can be some bad things.

Impact of Cyber Bullying

Cyber Bullying
Since computers and social networking sites have been invented there has been one big problem Cyber Bullying. Cyber Bulling is just like normal Bullying expect that it is done over the Internet or texts.

Cyber Bullying on the Internet
the sites that you most commonly use to Cyber bully are mostly likely to be Facebook and Twitter. More thank likely every teenager has an account to these websites. So if you get bulled at school and come and turn on Twitter or Facebook the bullying happens on there to, for the victim it feels like you can't escape. Even though there are laws against Cyber Bullying but why does it still happen?
a lot of people self harm or commit suicide.

Amanda Todd
Amanda Todd(left below) was a victim of Cyber Bullying and sadly committed suicide on October 10th 2012 at the age of 15. On September 7th 2012(a month) she uploaded a video to here youtube channel explain in here story (right a screen cap from the video). Here story is:  A few years ago, she was chatting with someone she met online, a man who flattered her. At his request, she flashed him. The man took a picture of her breasts. He then proceeded to follow Todd around the Internet for years. He asked her to put on another show for him, but she refused. So he’d find her classmates on Facebook and send them the photograph. To cope with the anxiety, Todd descended into drugs and alcohol and ill-advised flirtations and sex. Her classmates ostracized her. She attempted suicide a few times but then on October 10th 2012 she died due to hanging her self.

Cyberbully(film)

On July 17th 2011 a movie was released called cyberbully (as far as I know it's not based on a true story) The movie shows a girl names Taylor Hillridge ( Emily Osment) how gets a laptop to for here seventeenth. At first she loves having the Laptop  but when she starts to get bullied online she findes it hard at school because the bullying is happening there to. When it pushes here to far she post a video on a social networking site basically saying what she is about to do here friend same (Kay Panabaker) she call Taylor's Mum (Kelly Rowan) they get to Taylor in time. When she was feeling better she goes to a support group for people how are getting Cyber bulling she reallies that he is not alone and other people get cyber bullied to her and her Mum decide to try and get a law against Cyber bulling. When Taylor goes back to school she and her friends stand up to the bullies we then find out that the law was finally passed ( below a movie poster for Cyber bully) I have watched this movie and I'd defiantly say that you should watch it it is very interesting.

Where do I get help

my view
I think that  Cyberbullying is wrong and that it should not happen.

Impact of social networking sites

We use social network sites in our everyday life (MySpace maybe not so much) we use Facebook/twitter to talk to friends and to share music photos and videos. On YouTube you can watch movies watch your favourite YouTubers watch the latest or old music videos by your favourite artist. With eBay you can buy products online they might not have in the shops also in some cases the products can be cheaper and with online shopping you don’t even have to leave your home and get it delivered straight to your door.

Good things:  Facebook Twitter and Skype are really good thing that can help you talk to friend who might be a different country.  You can watch cool videos and also share them with friends.

Bad things:  even though Facebook and twitter can be a good thing Cyber bullying does happen and it is never nice for the person that is being bullied. Online all can be bad for example if you order you weekly shop off line and you’re out when it is delivered and you would have to go through all the hassle of going to the post office to pick it up. Another reason online shopping can be bad is the product that you order might not be what it seems when it turns up than what you though it would be when you click order.

myspace

Myspace is a social networking site which was launched in August 2003. It's founders were  Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson(top left) myspace logo (bottom left).Myspace first users were eUniverse they also had a competition to see how could get more people to sign up. Steve Jobs, Apple

Steve Jobs, Apple and mobile phones
The mobile phone has changed the way we live today and Steve Jobs was one of the best known people who helps us with that. This post will show you how far we have come by showing you a few good and bad things about mobile phones.

Good things: You can tell people were you are, you can contact people (maybe in an emergency) when you’re on the go by call or text, Can listen to music, Check things like cinema times, weather and  traffic
Bad things: phones can get stolen or lost, they can be hard to replace as they are very expensive without insurance. Some people may find it hard to keep up with the new technology and they might get bullied for not having the new and best phone.  Cyberbullying is all so a problem were you can get bullied over text or calls but with all the new phone that can connect to the Internet it can also happen over Facebook and Twitter.

Steve Jobs (February 25 1955- October 5 2011)  (left) is the co founder, chairman and CEO of Apple Inc (Founded April 1st 1976). It's thanks to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak(right) (the other co founder of apple) that we have the type of phone we have today more commonly known as 'smart phones'.Before the I phone was invented phones were pretty basic you could call and text maybe play a little game but know you literary have that whole world at your finger tips you can search the Internet, play better and bigger games send emails and maybe watch a video. Steve Jobs created a lot of things in his life and I think it's thanks to people like Steve that we have the type of technology we have today.

Nokia

Nokia had two founders Fredrik Idestam (left) (October 28 1838- April 8 1916) and Leo Mechelin (Right)  (November 24 1839 - January 26 1914). Beacuse Nokia was founded in 1871 the first mobile  was not invenred then. Nokia's first jobs/business was in making paper. They didn't become involved in telecommunications until the 1970s when they made the first mobile that was for use in a car.

To the left is one of the first Nokia Phones ever invented and to the right is one of the most resent Nokia phones its just amazing to see how far the phones have come. The pcture below is a perfect example of that.

I love how far we have come with technology with the phones, Ipod and all the social networks sites it just amazing to see how far we have come and I can't to see what will happen in the futre
